We do our best to make everyone look good—including Mother Nature. So while we’re working hard to keep your hair and skin healthy and beautiful, we’re also doing our best to give her a makeover.
What We’ve Done:
- Using only natural and organic products where we can
- Refusing to use, stock, or recommend products that do animal testing
- Buying offsets for the carbon we emit to remain Carbon Neutral
- Using recyclable coffee cups and lids in café
- Serving boxed and glass-bottled water only—plastic is plant based
- Replaced tools with ionic and low EMF ones which dry, curl and straighten hair quickly, safely, using minimal energy
- Weatherized the building
- Switched to low energy CFL light bulbs and low-flow toilets
- Operating with Green-e energy certified by the Center for Resource Solutions
- Using electricity produced from local renewable resources
- Asked suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging that they use
- Developed a comprehensive program of recycling paper, plastics, aluminum, glass, and corrugated cardboard
- Installed solar water heating panels.
What We’re Doing:
- Asking new suppliers to use recyclable containers and reduce the amount of packaging used
- Researching towels and smocks made from organic material
